Sponsor Agreement
This agreement establishes the boundaries that protect the coaching relationship and clarifies what information the sponsoring organization will and will not receive.
1. Purpose
This agreement confirms the terms under which the sponsoring organization is funding a coaching engagement facilitated by SPARC. It establishes what information the sponsor will and will not receive, and the boundaries that protect the coaching relationship.
2. What the Sponsor Will Receive
SPARC will provide the sponsor with the following information only:
- Confirmation that the engagement has begun and is active
- The identity of the client being coached
- Session dates and a count of sessions completed
If authorized by the client in writing, SPARC may also provide additional characterization of the engagement — for example, a general summary of themes or progress — as may be appropriate for the sponsor to assess its usefulness. The scope of any such disclosure will be discussed with the client before it is shared.
3. What the Sponsor Will Not Receive
SPARC will not share with the sponsor:
- The content of coaching sessions
- Specific topics, disclosures, or concerns raised by the client
- The coach's observations, impressions, or assessments of the client
- Results of any assessment administered by SPARC (e.g., CliftonStrengths, Leadership Circle Profile) or shared by the client with SPARC, including interpretations and related documents
- Any individual details of the engagement beyond what is listed in Section 2
No individual details are shared unless explicitly cleared by the client. This boundary holds regardless of the sponsor's relationship to the client or the sponsor's role in the organization.
4. Confidentiality
The coaching relationship is governed by the ethical standards of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and the Academy of Executive Coaching (AoEC). Confidentiality is foundational to effective coaching, and SPARC will not compromise it to satisfy organizational reporting expectations.
If the sponsor requires information beyond what is described in Section 2, that request must be directed to the client — not to SPARC. The client may choose to share coaching insights with the sponsor at their own discretion, but SPARC will not facilitate or participate in such disclosures unless all three parties agree in writing through a signed addendum.
Privacy. For more information about how SPARC handles personal data, see our Privacy Statement.
5. Fees and Payment
Fees, invoicing, and payment terms are governed by a separate engagement letter provided before the engagement begins.
6. Duration and Termination
This agreement covers the engagement period above. Either SPARC or the sponsor may end the sponsorship arrangement with written notice.
Termination of sponsorship does not automatically terminate the coaching engagement. If the client wishes to continue coaching independently, separate arrangements will be made between SPARC and the client.
Pre-paid fees for unused sessions will be refunded on a pro-rated basis unless otherwise specified in this agreement.
