Dr. Shannon O'Neill & Dr. Mathew Johnson

How We Work
Our Coaching Approach
Shannon creates space where clients feel genuinely seen and supported. Her approach blends rigorous inquiry with warmth — helping leaders move through complexity without losing themselves in the process.
Mathew holds space with a quality of attention that allows clients to think more clearly and access their own wisdom. His sociological lens helps leaders see the systems they're embedded in — and how to move within them with greater agency.

Beyond the Coaching Room
Shannon's roots are Nordic — she grew up steeped in the rhythms of Scandinavian culture, and those sensibilities still shape how she moves through the world. You'll find her seeking out good licorice, hosting long Fika gatherings, and surrounding herself with Marimekko prints and Moomin lore. She's deeply invested in building community among women and believes that the informal connections formed over coffee and conversation are every bit as meaningful as the formal ones.
Mathew is most at home when he's working with his hands. On weekends you'll find him on a tractor, splitting firewood, or deep into a DIY project on the farm. His training as a Sociologist and Social Theorist means he's always thinking about systems — but on the farm, the system is refreshingly concrete: something either works or it doesn't. That groundedness carries directly into his coaching.
Together, Shannon and Mathew are rooted in Vermont — a place that reflects their values of authenticity, hard work, and community. Whether they're at a local farm stand, cheering on youth sports, or simply enjoying the quiet of the Green Mountains, Vermont isn't just where they live. It's how they live.
